Use your iPad as a wireless slate or tablet for your computer…

Super-intriguing idea.  Anyone got the equipment to give it a try?

Earlier this week, I came across a blog post that described using the iPad as an alternative to pricier IWB [Interactive Whiteboard] systems. Yesterday, I tried it out and it works quite well.  Through the use of an app from iTunes, Air Display, a display connection can be made between the computer (through a wifi network, or ad hoc network) and the iPad and because of the iPad’s touchscreen surface, interactivity can then be achieved.  You could then simply attach a projector and display what is occurring on your screen or projection area.  Or, you could still use an IWB with the system if you prefer and have both a board and wireless slates.
